Who we are

On the Level Media is a video production business based in Brighton, UK, run as a general partnership by Lewis Alford and Adam Cannell.

What we collect

When you use one of our contact forms, we collect your name, your email address and the message you send us. If you email or phone us directly, we collect whatever details you choose to share.

We don’t use advertising trackers, and we never sell your information.

How we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to plan and deliver your project. Our lawful basis for this is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us and running our business. If we work together, we also use your details to carry out our agreement with you.

Website analytics

This site is built and hosted on Framer, which collects anonymous, aggregated statistics about visits, such as which pages are viewed and what kind of device is used. We use this to see how the site is performing. We can’t use it to identify you.

Embedded videos

Our portfolio includes videos hosted on YouTube, Vimeo and Instagram. When you view or play one, those services may collect information about you and set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies:

YouTube (Google), Vimeo and Instagram.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services we use to run this site and our business, such as Framer (website hosting and form submissions) and our email provider. We don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they’re required to protect it with appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

Messages from our contact forms go straight to our email inbox. We keep them for as long as they’re useful for responding to you, following up and keeping a record of work we’ve discussed or done together. If you’d like us to delete your messages, just ask and we will. Project records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. To do any of these, email info@onthelevel.media. We’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
